Head Coach comments after the match
Head Coach Poyatos: "I think it was a typical match against Fukuoka. We made full use of our physical strength, which made it a difficult match, and I think that the speed, including the switching of Konno and other players, was a factor. In the first half, there were some parts that we couldn't control, but I think that scoring a goal in that situation helped the team, and in the second half, we were able to play well and not be troubled until Aki (Kurata) scored another goal, and the opponent scored a goal, but after they scored the first goal, we struggled against the opponent's physical strength, and against physically strong players such as Zahedi and WELLINGTON Luis De Sousa, but I think they held on well. I'm very happy, and I think this will bring a sense of calm to the team as it is our first league win."
Q: "Kurata-san, you scored a great goal today. How do you evaluate your play today and what impact does your veteran player have on the team?"
Head Coach Poyatos said, "I think Kurata is a player who shows his difference in many areas today. He has the ability to read the game's development, and he shows his difference among the various types of players. He is truly the soul and heart of Gamba, and he brings calmness to this team. No matter what kind of pressure he is under, he understands it well and is able to apply that to the team. After all, he, Shu KURATA, is Gamba. I think he is a player who can show that from the moment he steps onto the field."
Q: "Please tell us what you have done to improve since the opening game, when you conceded five goals, and what you would like to improve on from today's game."
Head Coach Poyatos: "That's right. First of all, I personally think that the Cerezo match was an accident. I don't think that everyone played badly, but I think that our performance dropped off, including the panic we got after the opponent scored first, because it was a special match. From there, we came together as one, and that was the reaction we got. After all, in the J.League, we need to show intensity and play hard, and that was a week where we all reaffirmed that. From now on, I would like to help the injured players return. I hope that they will return soon. We will need to rotate the team's players from now on, so I hope that the injured players will return soon."

Q: "Today, it seemed like you were trying to pull back a little and keep a firm block, rather than aggressively pressing high from the front line, but was there anything you changed about that?"
Head Coach Poyatos: "There's nothing in particular that I've changed. I'm trying to find a way to play that suits the profile of the players who are playing. When (Nawada) Gakura comes on, he's energetic, but today we had players like JEBALI and (Usami) Takashi, and I personally think it's important to help them get their match instincts back. For example, if Minamino comes on, it will be a different way of playing, so I want to work together to make adjustments in that regard."
