Head Coach comments after the match
Head Coach Poyatos: "I think we weren't playing well throughout the game, but we had a good flow in the first half, and in the end, I think the difference in talent showed. I think that talent was the difference in judgment. We were down 2-0 in the first half due to our lack of decisiveness, and in the second half, we were aiming to turn the game around while aiming to tie the score, and I myself was aiming to do some damage while always aiming to win, but in the end, we were unable to play well individually and they conceded a third goal."
Q: After the first half ended with the score at 2-0, what did you say to the Head Coach at halftime? And after a rather unpleasant start to the second half, the flow of the game didn't seem to change. How do you feel about the team not changing at halftime?
Head Coach Poyatos: "Yes, I knew that if I behaved nervously or used nervous words, it would destroy hope, so I told the players where I would inflict damage and how to play good defense. There were still 45 minutes left, so I told them to fight bravely on both offense and defense. Many fans came to the game today, and I told them to fight hard in the second half, not only for the fans, but also for ourselves. Of course, we knew the risks were high because we were losing 2-0, and we played knowing that FC Tokyo's front line players would stay forward. However, I wish we had been able to finish a little more, but I think there were several scenes where we were turned over without being able to finish."
Q: "You left Fukuoka and JEBALI out of the starting lineup for the first time in a while. What was the aim of that other than that they were tired or out of form?"
Head Coach Poyatos: "As for JEBALI, we have the aim of inflicting damage from the side as a team, and we want to get the ball in from the outside, so I thought that (Usami) Takashi's strengths would come out in that area, so I used Takashi this time. As for JEBALI, he was tired as I mentioned earlier, and he has been playing nonstop for over 12 months, for over a year, so I thought he was mentally tired rather than physically, so I used Takashi with that aim in mind. As for Fukuoka, I knew that Diego Oliveira would be able to hold the ball in place, so I used another CB to apply pressure."

Q: "If you look at the first 30 minutes of the first half, it would not have been surprising if Gamba had won 2-0, but that one point caused the team to completely collapse. It was a very disappointing first half, but what do you think about those two goals conceded, Head Coach Poyatos?"
Head Coach Poyatos: "Yes, it was the same in the Urawa match, but I think we need to improve our defensive posture, be more careful around the ball, and be more alert before going for the ball. We usually work on that in training, but when we're playing positively as a team, our talents come out and we can really show our strengths. However, when it comes to the area in front of the goal, I think there are areas we need to improve. That's something we're working on in training, and I know it's an area I need to improve on, so I think we all need to work on it together."
