Head Coach comments after the match
Q. Why did you decide to use Onoe instead of Tanaka in the previous match?
Head Coach Miyamoto
"Onoe played well for 60 minutes in the EMPEROR'S CUP's Cup match against Sanuki, so I decided to use him because I thought he could do it to a certain extent. As for Tanaka, I think he will be released again."
Q. What do you think was the reason you lost momentum after taking the lead?
Head Coach Miyamoto
"The opponent had the ball for a while, and after we got it back, we lost it again right away, so we couldn't attack. I think the players were a little more aware of the importance of taking care of it because we scored a point early. I think we were defending tenaciously until we conceded a point, but it was a shame that we conceded a goal just two minutes after we conceded the first point."
Q. I think that to a certain extent, the aim of bringing on Endo in the second half was achieved, but how do you feel about not being able to score a goal until the end?
Head Coach Miyamoto
"The parts where we didn't break through were because the players were slow to make decisions, and of course the FC Tokyo GK made some fine saves, and I think the opponents' mental state would be different if they had continued playing at 2-1 or if they had kept the ball after conceding the third goal, so I think that conceding a goal so easily in the 15th minute of the second half had an impact until the end."
Q. I think you were wary of FC Tokyo's two-man front line, but what countermeasures did you take that didn't work out and led to the three goals being conceded?
Head Coach Miyamoto
"I told them to be careful of counterattacks, and that if they lose the ball halfway, the other side half players will come forward with momentum. And the two forwards will be involved in the final finish.
I think we were able to respond to attacks with only two strikers to some extent, but I think we were a little slow to react.
The first point was also addressed in depth, so I think there are still issues to be addressed with regards to one-to-one support.
