2025.4.2[TEAM]
PICKUP PLAYER FW11 ISSAM JEBALI"I want to score a goal to give back to the enthusiastic support."
We have returned to our strong home, Panasonic Stadium Suita. I want to score a goal this time too, so that I can see the smiling faces of the fans and supporters who come to the stadium, and also to give back to the fans for their enthusiastic support, regardless of whether we are playing at home or away.
In the previous match against Albirex Niigata, I was able to score two goals. For the first goal, as the team was slowly starting to smell the scent of scoring, I received a flicked ball from Alano (Juan), and I was able to break through the lines and aim for the far side, swinging my left foot. For the second goal, I intercepted the ball with pressure from the front line, took possession of the ball, and made a short counter attack in a high position. Considering the situation when Alano carried the ball into the penalty area, I expected him to insert the ball inside, but Aki (Kurata) also ran in there, creating space, and I think I was able to score with one touch.
There's no doubt that the fact that I scored a goal will motivate me even more, but to be honest, my condition has been good, not just in this match, but since the start of the season and throughout the training camp. I think another reason is that I've been able to play calmly and maintain my own pace, while being injury-free last year and the year before. I also think that my understanding of Japanese soccer and the J.League has simply deepened, which has helped me adapt better. However, I regret that I wasn't able to translate that good condition into a victory for the team in the previous match, so I want to finish this match with a win.
I feel that the general style of football and characteristics of FC Machida Zelvia, who we will be playing this week, have not changed since last year. I think that they are a team that always challenges the game with a serious attitude, showing their strength in long balls and one-on-one play. However, there is no need to be afraid. In last year's home match, Gamba was clearly in control until we had a player sent off. With that in mind, I think the important thing is to not go along with the opponent's game plan, but to execute our own plan firmly for the entire 90 minutes. We will take control of the ball, connect passes, capture spaces, and approach the opponent's territory. We will firmly connect that to a score. And with the support of the home supporters on our side, we would like to grab victory. Please support us.
