JA-OSAKACHUOKAI x GAMBA OSAKA Academy (Youth) Rice Harvesting Experience Implementation Report

The academy's youth players and team staff participated in a rice harvesting experience organized by our bronze partner, "JA-OSAKACHUOKAI."
In the 2024 season, JA-OSAKACHUOKAI will provide 10,000 kg of Osaka-grown rice per year for GAMBA OSAKA's academy dormitory, the Seisho dormitory, as well as meals in the VIP areas and for the top team players.
The aim of this initiative is to allow the youth athletes to experience how the Osaka-grown rice they eat is produced, and to increase their interest in food, which is the basis of physical fitness.
Following the rice planting experience held at the end of May this year, we held a rice harvesting experience again this year with the cooperation of JA Kita Osaka. By experiencing the whole process from planting to harvesting, it was a valuable opportunity to learn about rice farming.
Using their natural physical strength and teamwork, they harvested about 150 kilograms of rice (Hinohikari) in about an hour.
The rice harvested today is scheduled to be delivered to Seisho Dormitory around November.
