Junior Youth U-14 Thailand Tour
7/20 First day of the expedition
GAMBA OSAKA Junior Youth will be participating in the U-14 ASEAN Dream Football Tournament in Thailand from July 22nd to 27th.
This international tournament began in 2014, and this time a total of 16 teams participated, including the J.League Academy, Shiga Prefecture Selection, Thai League Academy, and teams from various ASEAN countries.
The tournament will be divided into four groups, with a league match followed by a ranking tournament.
We gathered at Kansai International Airport at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20th, and boarded the flight departing at 0:55 a.m. Japan time for Thailand.
What are your aspirations and goals for this expedition, both on and off the pitch?
Aoyama Akira
During this trip to Thailand, I want to become a player who is greedy for points, leads the team to victory, and can shoot and aim for the goal in any position.
Off the pitch, even though the environment is different to Japan, I want to eat well, get enough sleep, and live my life in preparation for the match so that I can improve my soccer skills even a little.
I also want to experience Thai culture.
Andong Young University
On this trip, I would like to watch the Thai players play, find something that I don't have, steal it, and broaden the scope of my own play.
For example, I would like to study things like build-up plays initiated by the full-backs and what positions the center backs take when they have the ball.
Off the pitch, I would like to always remain grateful and proactively try new things, such as learning about Thai food culture and conversing with Thai people.
Inada Reo
For the expedition
On the Pitch
I will do my best to make the most of my shot-stopping skills and overcome these challenges.
I would like to take on many new challenges on this expedition.
Off the Pitch
International Exchange
I think that in my future soccer career I will have the opportunity to speak to people from different countries, so I would like to communicate with a variety of people.
Food
I'm going to be traveling abroad soon, so I'm going to make sure I eat well.
Lifestyle
Be careful not to cause trouble to those around you.
During this trip to Thailand, I would like to make the most of my strength of shot stopping and take home some lessons.
